      <image:caption>Hi, I’m Caoilfhionn! I’m originally from Leitir Mealláin but now living in Galway. I am a regular gig-goer, a cat lover, and a sun-worshipper who loves to be close to, or swimming in, the sea! Other passions include exploring and discovering new places and cultures, dancing, and foreign languages, and I hold a BA in Italian and Spanish, a MA in Translation Studies and a Masters in Primary Education. My first yoga class was with Laragh and Dave Cunningham of The Yoga Shala in Galway in 2007, and I later began to attend regular Ashtanga yoga classes with Fiona Hynes of Ashtanga Yoga Galway. As a former dancer, I was immediately drawn to yoga’s fluid dance between movement and breath but it was the therapeutic effects on my mind, body and soul that kept me coming back to my mat. My aim is to guide and empower you to access your inner calm, strength, courage and wisdom, tune into and listen to your heart, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and reconnect to your authentic self.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - Training Background</image:title>
      <image:caption>I completed my 200hr teacher training in Progressive Vinyasa Yoga and my 300hr Advanced Yoga teacher training with Carol Murphy of Green Lotus Yoga. I went on to study 100hrs of Yin Yoga training with Grace Tempany, founder of the International School of Functional Yoga Teachers (ISFYT). I have also trained with Puja Sue Flamm and Kitty Maguire in Restorative Yoga which focuses on supporting the menstrual cycle for women. I completed a Children’s Yoga teacher training with Melissa Curtis in the Elbowroom, Dublin and a Restorative Yoga (Level 1) teacher training with Puja Sue Flamm. Most recently I have trained in MyoYin with Yintelligence School of Yin and Functional Yoga, and in Female Health Yoga with Tiffany Cruikshank of Yoga Medicine.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Classes - Yin Yoga</image:title>
      <image:caption>Yin Yoga involves staying in a pose, which targets the deeper connective tissues, the ligaments, joints, bones, tendons and fascia of the body for long steady passive holds. Through applying a stress to these tissues while in a pose for a longer period of time, circulation in the joints and flexibility can be improved. Yin yoga also stimulates the myofascial meridians, as understood in Traditional Chinese Medicine, helping to remove blockages and regulate the body’s flow of energy or qi. This class offers you the opportunity to slow the mind and body down, to focus inwards and to find stillness in a calm and safe space. Options and variations are offered in order for students to practise according to their own ability and body.</image:caption>
