Classes

I was initially apprehensive trying classes for the first time, but Caoilfhionn made it very easy for me to settle into the practice of Yoga. By the second class at Sruth Yoga I felt comfortable trying each new pose and flow with her straightforward guidance. The classes manage to be relaxing, while testing our endurance at the same time. I think this is because we practice a variety of different yoga techniques in each class - balance, postures, breathing, meditation etc. I've noticed my strength and stamina has built up so much since my first week! I always look forward to the classes now and I hope to continue yoga for the years ahead - something I never would have thought I'd do! Caoilfhionn is such an understanding instructor and always so approachable. I'm getting great enjoyment out of this new pastime and I'm learning a lot! Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow is a creative form of yoga characterized by the linking of poses together with the breath in a flowing sequence. In this class you will build up heat in the body as you flow through standing, seated and supine poses, and you will finish with a relaxation. This class helps to build physical and mental stamina and strength, connect with the breath, release tension and find stillness. Options and variations are offered in order for students to practise according to their own ability and body.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga involves staying in a pose, which targets the deeper connective tissues, the ligaments, joints, bones, tendons and fascia of the body for long steady passive holds. Through applying a stress to these tissues while in a pose for a longer period of time, circulation in the joints and flexibility can be improved. Yin yoga also stimulates the myofascial meridians, as understood in Traditional Chinese Medicine, helping to remove blockages and regulate the body’s flow of energy or qi. This class offers you the opportunity to slow the mind and body down, to focus inwards and to find stillness in a calm and safe space. Options and variations are offered in order for students to practise according to their own ability and body.

Children’s Yoga

Children are introduced to yoga through asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), stories, games, meditations, guided visualisations and relaxations in a safe, inclusive, non-competitive and fun environment. My aim is to help empower children with tools to manage anxiety, stress and emotional challenges, and to access their inner calm, confidence and resilience.

Ióga Vinyasa

Great class! Caoilfhionn really knows her students, she modifies some of the poses during the class to meet the students’ limits and you always feel relaxed after it! Highly recommended!
